The Email Template Manager allows you to review the list of templates available that you can edit in your company. It also provides a way to create a new template from scratch.
Templates created from saving an email campaign are also available in the Email Template Manager.
Warning: Email Templates are shared by all users within a given company. Editing or deleting a template will edit or delete that template for everyone in that company. Users on shared servers who have Campaign access to a project in a different company will not have access to view or edit other companies templates.
1: Accessing the Template Manager
To manage email templates for your company, select a project in the Portal and click Email Campaigns from the Responses menu.
Click on Template Manager just to the left of the “+ New Campaign” button to review your list of templates.
Note: Staff and supervisors can also access Template Manager from the Portal list page. They can grant access to other users by assigning them permissions in that project.
2: Interacting with Templates from the List Page
Click a template name to view the available actions for that template.
3: Interacting with Templates in the Editor
Click the Actions menu inside the editor to Duplicate or Delete the template you are editing.
For more information on interacting with templates in the editor, see Creating an Email Campaign.
4: Important Considerations
- Seed List and Email Testing for templates operate the same as in the Email Campaign Editor.
- Editing the template is similar to editing a campaign.
- The template manager project will appear in the portal once it is created as a campaign-type project. It is stored in the
ec_templatesfolder. - The project "Template Manager" can be renamed, but should be kept in the
ec_templatesfolder. Fields in the template manager project overview can also be updated as needed.
